Announcement

Pancreatic Development and Its Role in Modeling Pancreatic Disease, hosted by the Feinberg School of Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University, September 10–12, 2003 Chicago, Illinois

The main themes of this conference include:

  1. relating genetic events, transcriptional regulation, and cell lineage commitment during pancreatic development to the engineering of mouse models of pancreatic diseases
  2. understanding diabetic states to the etiology of exocrine pancreatic diseases and visa-versa and
  3. providing an excellent environment to encourage the participation of young and minority scientists in the areas of pancreatic biology and pathology
