Statement of Retraction

After a careful examination of the paper: Stoica GE, Franke TF, Wellstein A, Czubayko F, List HJ, Reiter R, Morgan E, Martin MB, Stoica A, Estradiol Rapidly Activates Akt via the ErbB2 Signaling Pathway. Mol Endocrinol 2003 May; 17(5):818–830 (Epub 2003 Jan. 23), the authors have realized that serious errors were made. Therefore, the authors have requested retraction of the article, along with an apology to the readers that the errors were not caught earlier.
